Recovery Days

Hey All! Happy Sunday! After all the stress, the Home Show ended up being a bust. Wait... let me correct that. I at least came out whole. Not all of the vendors can say that. We all have our philosophies as to why, but now it doesn't really matter. Between the stress and the social interaction, I am wiped! Knowing myself, I planned last night as my date night with myself and today as a recovery day. (Side note...weekly date night with myself have been a game changer so far this year!) In today's culture, just scheduling the time can be a huge challenge. A whole other struggle is actually following through with the plan. Our culture is so opposed to allowing time for rest which is crazy! So what does a recovery day look like for me? Getting caught up on laundry. Running the dishwasher. I spent a couple hours this morning working in my planner. Some food prep for the week. Catching up on my blog for this week. Inventory tracking and money organization from yesterday. Changing my sheets. As you can see, there is nothing incredibly taxing on the list; however, I am completing things that need to be done. Added bonus? It can all be completed in my pajamas!!! Since we all prioritize different things, my list may look different from yours. More than anything, I am hoping to encourage you to allow space for yourself. If that is challenging for you, I hope maybe a lighter to do list may help you get there. More than anything, I want you to be living your best life <3
